This deviation is part of the complete Satellite.Mß Visual Style, which skins several interfaces and application programs running on Windows XP. The full-inclusive VS can be previewed and downloaded as a single deviation by clickin on its link here:

This one is the skin for VideoLan VLC version 0.8.x (using its built-in “skin2” engine), inspired and derived from iTunes skin by Steven Sheely.
It was modified both chromatically and functionally to conform with Satellite.Mß Visual Style for Windows XP, which is a brushed red-dominant style based on TOSHIBA Satellite P Series' laptops, featuring a red-purple cover and a satin/brushed interior, as well as a 16:10 LCD.


[ instructions ]

• To use the skin just copy the downloaded SatelliteMB.vlt file into VLC's skins/ subdirectory (on Windows XP it is usually %ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\skins\).
  
• Run the media player and activate “skin2” engine from the menu commands. Alternatively you can run it as a command line to directly activate “skin2” by typing vlc -I skin2 from the DOS prompt (and from the directory where VLC executable is).
  
• As a last step (this one must be done just the first time) select “SatelliteMB” skin from the pop-up menu activated by right-clicking anywhere on the blank spaces of the player window.
